I was lucky enough to attend the Do Lectures the other week. An amazingly edifying weekend spent in tents in West Wales. It’s not every day you get to meet such an inspirational and eclectic bunch of people, or that you get to ask Tim Berners-Lee to pass you the butter over breakfast. Check out the website as they upload more of the speakers. Then go next year.
Anyway, i urge you to watch the story of how Steve Edge got to where he is today with design and branding. It’s a fantastic story for success and creative expression. Be warned it contains Monkeys, Horses, Cross dressing with snakes, Business advice, Jim Henson and “who the fuck is George Lucas”. Unfortunately it doesn’t mention he was once run over by an ice berg!
