Meet The Voicebot. It’s a very cool bit of industrial machinery which has been re-purposed by Sidekick Studios for a twisted new marketing campaign. Young people can go onto the voicebox website, tell the robot what they care about, and the robot will write out their message in the Houses of Parliament in October for politicians to see. Nifty, huh?
Each message is lovingly written out by a machine traditionally used to turn screws on assembly lines. Instead, it will write out the cares of a generation, and let them talk directly to politicians, in a place where their voices aren’t normally heard. Each user gets a photograph of their completed letter and their message is added to the tag cloud visualisation on the website.
We rather like the way the hand moves the letters, before slicing them as they fall into the basket. Writing to your MP has never been so much fun.
