Last Thursday we held a UK Creative Social as part of London Digital Week showcasing great Digital Work from 3 highly acclaimed “Social†Creative Directors: Dave Bedwood, Flo Heiss and Laura Jordan-Bambach. We decided that each speaker would show one piece of work each and discuss the Good, the Bad and the Ugly in each, but for obvious reasons I can’t detail all here, but here’s basically how the night went.
Firstly, Flo stepped up and presented the Sony Twilight Football campaign and was remixing his powerpoint slides to an audio track in itunes to help explain how he sold the idea to the client. Hilarious and I think he may have started a new breed of DJ presenters. Flo then showed us the viral which was the campaign driver and explained in depth how they made it happen in only 3 weeks. Trillions of views, well done.

Next Laura took us through the living your dream campaign for M&S and showed us what it’s like to take a brand out of it’s comfort zone with a campaign which enabled young children to create a video of their dream from a selection of tools for a chance for M&S and Maclaren to make it happen. Very cute indeed.
And lastly Dave showed us the joys and pains of a digital live event with ‘The Last Call’ (silent dance off), I’ll let the video do the talking here, great idea and very well executed.

As it was London Digital Week the event was open invitation. I was pleased to see such a mixture of people fueling some interesting discussion amongst the QA session at the end. After all the talking it was time for drinks, off to the pub it was for a good ol’ drink up for Arthur (Guinness founder), which we even managed to carry through to the tube. Well done Dave.

Thanks again to Paul Banham at JWT for hosting and Dave, Flo and Laura for speaking. Great stuff.
