Wednesday is looking like a busy day at Cannes 2012. As well as the regular slots of shortlisted work exhibitions, lunches and happy hours, there’s a packed schedule of inspiration to get through. Here are a few of our highlights:

09:30 – 10:30 LBi – Why Content Is Killing the Ad Campaign
A unique workshop featuring global content experts including our very own Chis Clarke, giving delegates a masterclass in next-generation digital marketing.

10:30 – 11:15 – Time Warner – The Passion of Storytelling for Television
Peter Roth and Michael Patrick provide their perspectives on creative risks and rewards, from the importance of social currency, character investment and the art of telling (and selling) a story, to what landed on the cutting-room floor and why.

12:00 – 13:00 Google – Creative Thinking in the Face of a Changing Medium
The icons behind Project Re:Brief helped define much of the advertising in their hayday when the medium was shifting from print to TV. In 2011, they joined forces with Google in a grand experiment, at a time of similar tectonic shift to digital technology. In this session, they join us to share their views on technology and big ideas. While shifting formats and media platforms is one thing, as we learn from our heroes of the past, the basic tenets of human storytelling haven’t changed.

13:30 – 14:15 Innocean – RE:GENERATION Music Project: The Evolution of Brands and Artists in the Creative Process
How brands and artists work together is continually changing. The RE:GENERATION Music Project was developed to appeal to the creative class by challenging award-winning DJs/music producers to generate new content, while opening up their process to cameras and collaboration. This discussion surrounds the creative tensions and challenges brought to life when a brand, Hyundai Motor America, offered to become a benefactor of new art. GRAMMY-winner Mark Ronson joins Creative Directors Nick Davidge, GreenLight Media and Marketing, and Tom Pettus, Innocean Worldwide, to discuss the impact of the project on creative collaboration. Moderated by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Amir Bar-Lev.

15:30 – 16:15 Nike & R/GA – Building a New Ecosystem for Consumer Experience
Following on the heels of the success of Nike+ running, the company is expanding its digital sport portfolio. Nike continues to revolutionise technology in sport to inspire and enable every athlete to get better. In 2012, major product introductions are bringing this vision to life. Come hear how Nike and R/GA are building and launching this new consumer ecosystem.

15:30 – 16:30 Xbox LIVE – Interactive Entertainment: The Next Chapter
Ross Honey, General Manager of Xbox LIVE Entertainment and Advertising at Microsoft, peeks behind the scenes at some of the most innovative consumer experiences created in this new world of natural user interface technology, and learn how you can participate in the next chapter of interactive entertainment.

16:00 – 17:00 Goodby, Silverstein & Partners – Why Aren’t they Buying my Brilliant Fucking Idea? An Afternoon with Jeff Goodby
A session with the guy who convinced someone to buy ‘got milk?’, the Budweiser Lizards, Nike ‘Skateboarding’, the Haagen-Dazs ‘Save the Honey Bees’, Audubon’s ‘Birding the Net’, and some even stranger stuff you’ve never heard of and probably with good reason.
