Eurobest announces jury line-up for 2011

Eurobest has announced the names for three out of the eight juries; Interactive and Mobile, Media and Design. The jury members will come together in Lisbon, the host city for this year’s Festival, to debate and deliberate over the best of European advertising and communications and award deserving entries with a much sought after Eurobest trophy. Reaction to Cyberlions

When I walked out the Cyberlions my immediate reaction was meh - that was uninspiring. Not that there was not any good work in there, it was just that we had seen it all before (thanks twitter). However as people reflected further, they seemed to focus on what seemed to be some extremely odd decisions - Pay for A Tweet as Grand Prix. One of the Socials I spoke to actually got angry about this one and said to me "The judges should be ashamed. They were hoodwinked by a good campaign video." I don't think they thought it was...

Cyber Lions Predictions

Tomorrow (Wednesday) we have our annual Creative Social Cannes lunch, as sponsored for the second year by our good friends at Adobe (thanks guys), and it is due to be our biggest one yet with over 40 Creative Directors and CEOs coming along.
