I am just loving the US election and the marketing that has been happening across it. Obama has got it so right and although we are going to be naturally drawn to Obama I cannot believe how much activity there has been. However it is a fantastic example of how the world is changing and how it is not about big media spends – if messages are interested they are naturally going to be disseminated. Anyway I received the above today and although this technique has been done to death as long as the message is relevant it still packs a punch. Also doing the rounds is this brilliant follow up to the ‘Whassup’ commercial:
The overall activity has really made me wish I could vote in the US election (as a UK citizen I think it should be our right given the influence it has on our economy) which is bad news for McCain as it seems that if it was left to the global vote, Obama would win by a landslide with 87% of the vote (you can vote here if interested) . Let’s hope that this fact in itself does not end up helping McCain (something he is already playing up to)!

well – it’s a bit about big media spend – obama’s 30 minute infomercial prime time yesterday was probably a buck or two..
funny detail – cnn didn’t run it because as they don’t want to appear biased – but their political shows ac 360 and situation room showed parts of it – if u put all those pieces together they probably showed all of it – but didn’t get paid like msnbc..
